At Sandshaped, we draw inspiration from a sophisticated lifestyle and a passion for travel. We will continue to create designs for the new generation of free-spirited, environmentally conscious consumers.
Our Approach to Sustainability
At Sandshaped, we deeply care about the environment and the natural world. Rooted in nature, Sandshaped is a family-owned brand founded on the Aegean coast, inspired by the sea, the sand, and the timeless spirit of summer.
We are committed to taking small but meaningful steps toward creating products that are not only beautiful but also more sustainable. Our approach is to produce consciously with nature in mind while growing through sustainability, circularity, inclusivity, and transparency.
Fabrics & Materials
As a family-owned company, we care deeply about our planet—just as you do. We began our sustainability journey in 2019 and continue to seek more environmentally responsible and sustainable solutions with every collection.
ECONYL®
Our swimwear is made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon yarn, a 100% recycled nylon fiber created from waste materials such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps, and old carpets that would otherwise pollute the environment.
Conventional nylon is produced from non-renewable petroleum, a significant contributor to global warming. By using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, we give discarded nylon a second life and reduce its global warming impact by up to 90% compared to virgin nylon produced from fossil fuels.
ECOVERO™
ECOVERO™ viscose fibers are derived from wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests certified by FSC® or PEFC™. This innovative fiber is awarded only to products with a significantly lower environmental impact and is certified with the internationally recognized EU Ecolabel.
During production, nearly all of the chemicals used are recovered and reused. Compared to conventional viscose, ECOVERO™ generates up to 50% lower emissions while consuming approximately 50% less energy and water.
Other Fabrics & Accessories
All of the other fabrics and accessories we use are carefully selected and produced with consideration for both the environment and human health.
